Brian Rempe The Professional Progress Award recognizes significant professional accomplishments by alumni in the first twenty years of his or her career. One award recipient is selected for each department and the award is presented in the Spring semester.

The Kansas State University College of Engineering honored 11 Professional Progress Awards and 2 Hall of Fame alumni in 2015 for the Professional Progress Award. The honorees were recognized at the Seaton Society Banquet on March 28th, 2015. The recipient for Computing and Information Sciences was Brian Rempe.

Brian Rempe, Manhattan, Kansas, graduated from Kansas State University in 2003 with a degree in computer information systems, where he also received his MBA. He is serving as chief operating officer at CivicPlus in Manhattan after previously holding positions of chief strategy officer, chief technology officer and director of technology with the company. Currently, Rempe leads more than 200 employees, including more than 100 K-State graduates. His primary responsibilities are managing day-to-day operating activities of CivicPlus, including revenue and sales growth; expense; cost and margin control; product development; and monthly, quarterly and annual financial goal management. Rempe is also currently serving on the executive board of the local chapter of the Boys and Girls Club, and is a member of the computing and information sciences advisory board at K-State.
